Uses : Typherix Vi PFS is a typhoid vaccine that provides active immunization against Salmonella typhi, the bacterium that causes typhoid fever. It contains the Vi capsular polysaccharide antigen, which is administered via injection. The vaccine is generally recommended for travelers to regions where typhoid fever is common, as well as for individuals in close contact with potential carriers. Usage Typherix Vi is indicated for adults and children aged 2 years and older. It offers protection by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against the Vi antigen of Salmonella typhi.
Side Effects : Common side effects of the vaccine include mild reactions at the injection site, such as pain and redness. Systemic side effects may include fever, headache, and malaise. Serious adverse reactions are rare but can include allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis​
